Cursor at work

In May 2025 my team started using Cursor. I had spent two decades writing automation by hand; this was the first tool that could sit beside me and write it with me.

It stuck immediately. Shortly after, I was paying for my own Pro licence so the ideas did not have to wait for a work window.

What I built in that period stays inside the company. The TL;DR is allowed: I used AI to automate daily tasks that had always needed a specialist’s knowledge to execute, and to build new workflows that the whole team could run. The same toil-killing instinct as every job on the CV, with a new lever.

What changed: the bottleneck moved from typing the solution to knowing what to ask for.
